About whoosh sound effects
A whoosh is moving air: the rushing noise of something fast cutting past your ear. Most of it is breathy noise with no clear note, swelling and fading, often bending down as the object passes. A claymore or a tarp moves a lot of air and sounds low and heavy, while a thin kunai or a javelin whistles high and narrow.
English has a word for nearly every grade: whoosh for the big rush, swoosh for a curving one, swish for cloth and tails, whiz for small things flying past. Editors use whooshes as glue, laying one under a cut or a title animation so the eye and ear move together.
How to write it in Korean

Which one to pick
Weapons swing with weight: Claymore Heft, Maul Low Sweep and Chain Sickle Arc are low and slow, Sickle Flick and Escrima Stick are quick and crisp, Kunai Throw adds a thin whistle and Shuriken Whirl a spinning one. Fabric is softer and breathier, from the light Hood Flip and Kimono Spin to the heavy Cloak Rush, Sail Fill and Tarp Flap. Paper rustles: Newspaper Flap, Map Unfold, Book Page Flip. Car Pass Rush, Train Pass Rush, Bus Gust Pass, Bicycle Pass and Drone Pass carry the rush of a vehicle without its engine.
For the fastest cuts, Hockey Stick Swipe, Umbrella Open and Sai Pass are the tightest. For animation and games, reach for Cartoon Swish, Cartoon Cape Flap, Arcade Slash or Retro Wind Up. Every take ends without an impact, so add your own hit if the swing connects.
Uses
Video transitions, title animations and logo reveals. Fight choreography in animation and stop motion, with Punch Air Rush or Leg Kick Air before the hit. Game attacks, dodges and menu slides. Slide transitions in presentations, or a page swipe in an app prototype.
