Who runs this site
This sound effects library is part of casper.tw. Casper, a front-end engineer and teacher in Taiwan, runs it, and you can read more about him on his about page (in Chinese). If you have a question about this policy or your data, email him at contact@casper.tw.
What works without giving us anything
You don't need an account, and there are no forms to fill in. Playing, downloading and searching all work without signing up. This site does not set cookies of its own or keep anything in your browser's storage.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to learn which sounds are useful. It uses cookies and records the pages you view, the site you came from, your device and browser, and your approximate location. When you play or download a sound, or copy its link, we send an event with the sound's ID, the group it belongs to and the page language. What you type on the search page is also recorded in Google Analytics, so we can see which sounds people look for. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics cookies are off by default; until you agree, only cookieless basic signals go to Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC, which Google uses to model visits. You can turn off Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Ads from Google AdSense
Some pages show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this site and to other sites. You can turn off personalized ads in My Ad Center, and you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also refuse some other ad companies' cookies at aboutads.info, or at youronlinechoices.eu in Europe. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland first see a consent message from Google, where they can accept, manage options or refuse. The license page and this page do not load ads.
Hosting and sound files
Cloudflare serves the pages and the sound files, which come from sound-effects.casper.tw. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address and the details of each request to deliver the page, keep the site secure and block abuse. We don't use these records to work out who you are.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the sounds still play and download without them. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you can change your ad consent at any time from the privacy link that Google adds to the page.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
