About chicken sound effects
A hen talks for most of the day. The everyday sound is the cluck, a short, low note repeated as she walks and feeds, which English writes as cluck, bawk or bok bok. When something startles her, the clucks turn into a cackle, a loud, broken run of squawks that often sets off the rest of the flock. Hens also cackle after laying an egg, a burst that poultry keepers call the egg song. Chicks have their own sound, a high peep or cheep that gets louder and more insistent when they are cold or lost. The rooster's crow is a separate call with a page of its own.

Clucking
Gathering Clucks starts soft and grows more excited, a natural build for a scene that is about to get busy. Hen Cluck is a single cluck with a cartoon edge.
Alarm
Alarm Cackle is one startled burst, and Hen Alarm swells sharply and falls away. Both are loud and harsh, so they work as a sudden reaction or a moment of panic.
Chick
Chick Chirp is the only young bird, small and bright with a cartoon feel that fits children's content.
