About frog sound effects
A calling frog keeps its mouth shut. It pushes air back and forth over its vocal cords, and an inflated vocal sac works like a resonator. Every species has its own pattern, from clicks and trills to the deep jug-o-rum of an American bullfrog. English usually writes the sound as ribbit or croak, and ribbit itself is often traced to the Pacific chorus frog, whose call Hollywood used for decades as the stock sound of a night outdoors. On warm, wet nights, males of many species call at once to attract females, and the overlapping calls turn into a dense, pulsing chorus. That chorus is what this set covers. A single ribbit and a bullfrog are not here yet.

Which one to pick
Warm and humid
Tropical Frog Wash is wide and dense, the most exotic of the five, for rainforest and swamp settings.
Spring countryside
Spring Frog Night and Creekside Frogs are even, steady choruses for a rural evening. Creekside Frogs suggests a stream nearby without the sound of rushing water.
Busier and colder
Canal Frog Chorus is the densest, packed along a canal bank, while Highland Frog Drone has a deeper, colder feel, like frogs by a mountain stream.
Common to all five
they run steadily from start to finish, so they sit under dialogue rather than punctuate it, and none of them is a single croak for a cut.
